RIP: Ron Sadler, a gentleman. Brave enough to tell the truth.

ANOTHER HONEST AND INDEPENDENT OPINION FROM WITNESSES:

Below are four statements from other witnesses - very reliable professional people with a great deal of credibility and entirely independent and impartial:

An Account of the Happenings at a Meeting at the Community Hall Carterton:

We, (Mr and Mrs Kennedy) were present at the Municipal Hall, Holloway Street, Carterton on 26 October 2005 at a public meeting to discuss a report being presented by the Community Focus Group on a proposed new community facility.

We estimate that there were approx 40 – 50 people present at the meeting. However the attendance book, which we were asked to sign, would give a more accurate head count.

Prior to this meeting we did not know Kate Raue or know of her. We had never heard her name. It was not until the following day when discussing the incident on this night that we were given her name.

After signing the attendance book in the foyer of the hall we seated ourselves on the right hand side of the room, four or five rows from the back. Approximately a third up the bank of chairs.

The meeting was chaired by Ewen Hyde and began with a presentation by Mr Hyde and Glen Hughes of Opus Consutants who had carried out the preparatory work on the concept.

Ewen Hyde then invited the public to ask questions and offer comments regarding all aspects of the proposal. There were diverse comments on the financial and physical aspects of the proposal.

A person, who the next day we were informed was Kate Raue, was seated a couple of rows behind us, on the same side of the room and slightly to the left of us. Kate waited politely for a chance to speak and when she did she asked the people present, in words similar to the following, “Do you really want to let these people who caused the last community centre to close down amid allegations of mismanagement and fraud, to be the ones in charge of a new four million dollar project?”

She said that members had asked for an audit of the books and these people had refused. She said that people had been asking for this for some time and asked why the same people trying to push the $4,000,000 proposal continued to refuse the audit. She said there had been a cover up of the mismanagement and because of this the same people shouldn’t be allowed to control this new proposal.

Ms Raue spoke forcefully but was not screaming or shouting. She was making her point but not ranting or raving. Her body language was neutral and non-threatening, she stood in place, used mild gestures and referred to a piece of paper she was holding.

Ewen Hyde asked her to sit down. He said that this was old ground and that she was disrupting the meeting by raising old issues when they were looking at new matters. Kate added 2 or 3 more comments and then sat.

Two or more people spoke, then Kate spoke again and was again asked to sit down by Mr Hyde which she did but added the comment “I haven’t finished yet, I’m just having a rest.” Mr Hyde then said “You will be asked to leave.” Kate replied “This is supposed to be a public meeting for people to comment on your proposal and that is what I am doing.” Ewen said “Please leave.” To which Kate replied “No.”

Others then spoke after which Georgina Beyer stood up to speak. Ms Beyer was seated two thirds of the way up the room on the left hand side, the side opposite to us, and a few rows ahead. She commenced by thanking the committee for their work on the project, said that it was a good idea and she would do all she could to facilitate funding, by which we thought she was implying that she would be a facilitator between the committee and those in power in Wellington.

Then with absolutely no provocation Ms Beyer turned and faced Kate Raue and began to abuse her in a most personal manner. One phrase being “Kate Raue you are a blight on this community.” Ms Beyer also threatened Ms Raue with legal action. Ms Beyer’s body language was aggressive and threatening. She was leaning forward, pointing and jabbing her finger at Ms Raue. Her facial features were distorted as she ranted and stunned the room in to silence.

Georgina Beyer’s reaction was excessive to what had preceded it and actually alerted us to a shared history. She was obviously aware that she was under attack from Kate’s comments but she had not been named, whereas her comments were a direct personal attack on Ms Raue.

Ms Beyer’s inflammatory and defamatory tirade continued for 30 seconds or so and others in the hall appeared stunned but at no time did Mr Hyde say anything to her about her behaviour. Her outburst was embarrassing and seemed to us an over-reaction to robust criticism.

Kate Raue responded briefly and there were some low murmurings for her to sit down, which she did and the meeting continued with others exchanging their views on the proposed complex.

One of the speakers, who introduced himself as Matthew Morris, a consultant, stood up to ask some very pertinent questions but before he did he very pointedly looked at Georgina Beyer and said words to the effect of “there is more than one person in this hall tonight who should be reprimanded for their behaviour.”

A debate continued regarding the desirability of the new building complecx, what was to happen to the old Municipal Hall, etc. A member of the public offered the view that it was disappointing the Lord Mayor wasn’t at the meeting, Whereupon Bill Knowles put in an apology for the Mayor, but as the meeting had been going for about an hour at that point a few in the audience seemed sceptical about the late apology. Ms Raue commented that he was probably at the pub. Many of those present laughed but one person did call out “Be quiet Kate.”

About then Bill Knowles and Ewen Hyde left the hall leaving Glenn Hughes of Opus to chair the meeting which was quiet and orderly. Kate was sitting in her seat. (Mr Kennedy) leaned towards to me and asked “What are those two up to?”

A little while later two policemen entered the main hall and stood, leaning against the wall at the back of the room in a direct line with Kate Raue’s seat. One of the policemen was a large man with close cropped grey hair. The second officer was younger, shorter, of finer build and had dark hair. Several people, including us, became aware of them and turned to look. It was only up to a matter of a minute at most from the time they entered the body of the main hall to the moment the larger officer approached Kate Raue who was sitting quietly in her seat.

He bent over Kate’s right shoulder with his head next to hers and spoke to her. We did not hear what he said. Kate stood up and attempted to leave the hall but was being blocked by the officer.

At this time Ewen Hyde closed the meeting saying it would continue another time.

By this time Kate and the two officers were involved in a struggle in the foyer, and it appeared to us that Kate was being prevented from exiting the building. The larger of the two officers was the one most involved and at one point I (Mrs Kennedy) placed my right hand on his arm to try and get his attention and ask him to stop this fracas. This was a fairly violent struggle which continued on to the pavement outside. A male unknown to us, repeatedly asked the officers why they were arresting Kate, as did others, also what were the charges and to please release her and let her go home. At no point did we hear either of the officers say they were arresting her or what charges, if any, they were laying.

As the larger of the two officers bundled Kate, who appeared to be passively resisting, in to the back of the police car I (Mrs Kennedy) stood behind and to one side of the younger officer, who was standing free of the melee, and just shook my head, saying “Oh dear, oh dear.” The young officer turned to look at me but without expression.

Before we left the area I (Mrs Kennedy) had a short conversation with Ewen Hyde telling him that I was disgusted with what had just occurred and he should be ashamed of his part in it. He told me that I didn’t understand the history of the situation. I pointed out, for the first of many times to come, that I was only concerned about and commenting on what had occurred that night. Mr Hyde thrust a paper in to my hands citing a by-law that gave the action to be taken if someone was trespassing and refusing to leave if asked to do so. He said he was within his rights to ask Mrs Raue to leave as she was trespassing. I pointed out it was a public meeting and Kate was entitled to voice an opinion.

(Mr Kennedy) and I left the area to walk home, venting our anger to each other at how the situation had escalated and how poorly we thought it had been handled. We were very angry and upset.

I (Mrs Kennedy) sat down at my computer and started to write an account of the evening’s happenings. However after a few lines I abandoned this and went online to seek an email address for office of Helen Clarke, Prime Minister.

I typed and sent an email advising her of the behaviour of one of her party’s list MP’s. I did not expect a response to this email as it states on the web site that they only respond to letters. However I do know that the email is stored in their archives as I enquired about it in June 2006. * email attached (2)

Whilst I was composing the above email (Mr Kennedy) returned to the Municipal Hall to speak to Georgina Beyer and Ewen Hyde. * account attached (3)

We both felt then and still do, that the actions of the police officers at the Municipal Hall that night were not only unnecessary but were inflammatory as there were no problems at the time of their arrival and nothing prior to that which even warranted them being called out. As they were called to the hall by one of the conveners a ‘wait and see’ attitude was all that was required. If necessary they could have spoken to Kate Raue later. As it was a mildly embarrassing situation was blown up out of all proportion. We felt that the only person who had behaved in a threatening and disorderly manner was list MP Georgina Beyer.

As a result of this meeting and its aftermath I made it my business to find out more about the demise of the previous community centre. I spoke to long term residents and also accessed the archives of the Wairarapa Times Age newspaper. Concerns were expressed to me regarding the manner of closing of the centre and the non-disclosure of the destination of any remaining funds. Newspaper articles also highlighted an arrogance on the part of some people involved as to how much they would tell the community, whom they were supposed to be serving.

The day following Ms Raue’s handcuffing and removal by police from the Municipal Hall (Mr Kennedy) rang Masterton Police station and asked to speak to the Area Commander.

This is a copy of the email sent to the office of the Prime Minister of New Zealand (p.m.@ministers.govt.nz) from (NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD) New Zealand on the night of a public meeting which ended in the arrest of Kate Raue.

Subject: list MP’s behaviour as a function of community welfare.

May I respectfully ask the Prime Minister to make herself aware of the actions and involvement of Georgina Beyer in a most disgusting and upsetting incident in a public meeting in Carterton on this night 26th October 2005.

A female member of the public, who in the first instance when she was speaking, evidently opened some old wounds relating to previous community projects. It was slightly embarrassing for some of us in the audience but the woman sat down and then when Georgina Beyer rose to speak, instead of concentrating on the agenda, she chose instead to launch a stream of verbal abuse including the threat of legal action. This did nothing to calm the situation.

However the meeting moved on but one councillor and the convener of the meeting chose to involve the Masterton constabulary. I was sitting one row in front of the woman who had so upset Georgina’s equilibrium and at the moment the two large police officers arrived on the scene she was sitting quietly in her seat, whereupon they tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to leave the hall. She refused and pointed out she was just having her say. The Police did not ask Georgina Beyer to leave due to her embarrassing behaviour.

The whole scene degenerated into a debacle which ended in the handcuffing and physical removal of the supposed offender.

Ms Beyer should be adept at defusing situations such as this and not allow others to exacerbate a mildly embarrassing incident into a deeply upsetting occurrence.

We are also of the opinion that the police actions were unnecessarily heavy handed. A wait and see position would have been more circumspect and a public meeting to debate and discuss a $4 000 000 community project would have concluded on a note of optimism and inclusiveness instead of dismay, disbelief and division.

Account of Conversation Between Mr Hyde, Georgina Beyer and (Mr Kennedy) Outside the Carterton Municipal Hall on the 26/10/2005:

After Kate Raue had been removed from the Municipal Hall I returned home with my wife. However I was so incensed at what I had just witnessed that I returned to the Hall with the intention of voicing my displeasure to the two people I considered to be the two people I considered to be the instigators of the actions taken that evening.

When I arrived Ewen Hyde and Georgina Beyer were just inside the foyer, near the main doors. I spoke to Ms Beyer telling her that in my opinion pople who enjoyed a position of trust and power such as she did should not abuse it. Ms Beyer told me I didn’t know what I was talking about and that Kate Raue had a history of this sort of thing. To which I replied “I wasn’t interested in the history I was only interested in what I had witnessed earlier that evening.”

Mr Hyde was similar to Ms Beyer’s in that he told me I didn’t understand the situation. I then told him that in my opinion his behaviour was inexcusable and a case of over kill.

Account of a conversation between (Mr Kennedy) and Area Commander John (Jack) Johnston of Masterton:

On the morning of 27/10/2005 I rang Masterton Police station and asked to be put through to the Area Commander who I was informed was Inspector Jack Johnston. I was told that he was not available and my details were taken. I informed the woman on the switch the nature of my call which I wanted her to pass on to the Inspector so that he had time to prepare his thoughts on the matter. I didn’t wish to ‘ambush’ him.

Inspector Johnston returned my call the next day, the 28th.

The general discussion was about my displeasure at what had occurred on the night of the 26th at the Carterton Municipal Hall.

My first point was that it was an over reaction by Mr Hyde and Mr Knowles to call in the police to remove a member of the community for expressing an opinion in opposition to that of the Focus Group Committee and list MP Georgina Beyer.

My second point was that the inexcusable behaviour of the aforementioned list MP should have resulted in her being removed or at the very least, spoken to.

The third point I raised was concern at the tactics employed by the police officers attending on the night in question. The physical removal of the ‘so called’ offender and the handcuffing and rough treatment used to put her in to the police car.

I also pointed out to the Inspector that I objected to the blatant misuse of police resources for such a trivial matter (2 vehicles and four officers) and that a more prudent use of tax payers funds was called for.

Inspector Johnston took my comments on board and said that I had the advantage over him of being there on the night and witnessing the events as they occurred.

Inspector Johnston pointed out that Kate Raue “has a history,” to which I replied “I am not interested in her history only the current debacle which we are discussing.”

Here's how the imaginative and dishonest local "reporters" manipulate the truth, firstly their report and then the reports of independent and credible witnesses - reports which the Court clearly favoured.

Police called as meeting ends in chaos

Kate Raue, a long-standing protagonist in debates over Carterton's former community centre, began calling interjections halfway through the two-hour meeting.
"Whatever happened to our old community centre and its money?" was one call from her. "It all went into the pockets of those wanting it closed," she added.
It was at this point that MP and former Carterton Mayor, Georgina Beyer was speaking in support of the new project.
Obviously annoyed by Ms Raue's interruptions, Ms Beyer swung around and shouted: "Kate Raue, you are a blight on this town and you should leave. I don't know who you think you represent, but it's not anyone here. Just go!"
Ms Raue hit headlines in February 2003 when she alleged all the money from the old community centre was stolen and "put into the pockets of the council" and said she would not leave town until the books were properly audited. Several people in the crowd of around 120 got to their feet and began shouting. Belinda Howard yelled at Ms Raue: "I'm a member of this community and I also wish you would shut up".
Focus Group chairman Ewan Hyde, who was chairing the meeting, tried to calm the situation asking Ms Raue to leave but she persisted by yelling: "See how far this has got you, but you won't get any further and find the funds."
Deputy Mayor Bill Knowles failed in an attempt to call for order as Ms Raue decided to sit down, throwing back "Don't think I'm giving up, I'm just having a rest."
The discussion on the new proposal continued with several people asking questions and making comments.
These included ensuring the heritage aspects of the St John hall and district library building were adhered to, the number of meeting rooms to be provided and the cost of running them
Minty Hunter described himself as a newcomer to Carterton from Australia and said Carterton continues to amaze him in what there was to offer people.
"It's a fabulous place with a lot of flavour and I'm pleased I moved here."
The lack of close sporting facilities concerned him however, and he asked about public transport to places like the Gladstone and Clareville complexes for young people.
Matthew Morris queried "from one consultant to another" where the fiscal responsibility for the proposed new community centre would lay.
He said it was all very well getting all these "wonderful new facilities" but wondered how the council would cope with any cost overruns and also how its infrastructure, especially sewage system, was keeping up with the town's developments.
Jacob Senior said he had taken part in many music and drama courses at the former community centre before it closed down and wondered now where the youth of the town went for entertainment.
Mr Hyde said youth activities were one of the main components of the proposed new centre.
At this point Ms Raue began yelling again about the former centre and how it had been closed down.
Two policemen then appeared and tried to escort her from the room.
Mr Morris asked if such action was really necessary and two friends of Ms Raue, Colin Alloms and Merlene Chambers, tried to stop them taking Ms Raue away. But the officers removed her from the hall and took her away in a patrol car.
The meeting again fell into chaos and Mr Hyde decided that it was best the meeting ended.
Many of those who attended were elderly and left clearly troubled by the events.
Kate Nolan, a member of the Focus Group said she was saddened by it all because it took away the exciting nature of the new proposal.
Mr Hyde said later he had taken a phonecall from Ms Raue on Tuesday and the tenor of the conversation led him to suspect there could be disruption at the meeting. Mr Hyde is an outright liar - he didn't receive a phone call from me at all. He rang the police and conspired with them to pervert the course of justice by preventing me sharing information with the community - AGAIN - in order to keep his own snout in the trough and those of his mates!
As a result he had alerted police. He rang police in his role with the "Facility Focus Group" as an outright act of political corruption, to try and defeat the course of justice by preventing me attending the meeting and sharing information with the attendees about the criminal fraud and corruption committed by him and his Council colleagues!
?? Masterton police said later that a Carterton woman, 47, had been arrested outside the meeting and would appear in Masterton District Court today on charges including trespass, resisting arrest and assaulting police officers.
THIS IS AN UTTER PACK OF LIES. THE CHARGES WERE THROWN OUT BEFORE THE END OF THE CASE FOR THE PROSECUTION BECAUSE IT WAS APPARENT THAT THE POLICE WERE LYING, AS CONFIRMED IN THIS LENGTHY LAWYER'S SUBMISSION TO THE PCA.

Letter to the Press Council - June 2008:

I wish to formally complain about the defamatory lies published in the Wairarapa Times-Age on 26th June 2008, the article is reproduced below with my comments in red:

Matt Stewart | 26th June 2008
Former Mayoral Candidate Disrupts Council Meeting - What an utter lie!
"Former Carterton mayoral candidate Kate Raue was forced to leave a meeting of the Carterton District Council after becoming disruptive and abusive."  - This is the title of the brief display on the website - yes I was illegally forced to leave the meeting - no I was not disruptive or abusive.  Georgina Beyer and Gary McPhee were abusive and disruptive:

Brandishing a spatula and hurling a volley of venomous insults, former Carterton mayoral candidate Kate Raue burst into council chambers last night disrupting a council meeting.  Right from the first word this is a pack of lies.  Hack 'reporter' Matt Stewart arrived well after I did, I entered quietly and sat down right next to Judy Engels, wife of Councillor Chris Engels and sat perfectly quietly as Georgina Beyer, the liar who had to resign from parliament in disgrace and han't been able to get a job since (because of the lies 'she' wrote on official Parliamentary letterhead stating that the affairs of the Carterton Community Centre were all in order because 'she' had decided they were, and that any further investigation of the overwhelming number of allegations to the contrary was totaly unnecessary), babble on about 'her' new job as the head of Rise Above It White Ribbon Anti Violence campaign.  I felt sick to my stomach thinking of Coral Burrows, Saliel Aplin, Olympia Jetson, and all the other victims of violence in the Wairarapa while Beyer had been in office, and thinking that Beyer had got 'her' snout back in the trough so easily and by using those very victims.

An irate Ms Raue arrived as the meeting was due to start, demanding to be heard at the public forum.  As I said, I sat down quietly next to Judy Engels and didn't say a word, and I challenge her to say otherwise.  Matt Stewart is a liar.  Beyer spoke for at least fifteen minutes, using the excuse to waffle on about 'her'self as usual, ad infinitum.  When Beyer finished Gary McPhee, the illegally elected Mayor, tried to move straight onto General Business, but Chris Engels actually had to remind him that I was there and had advised Council that I would be attending to address the Council as was my right, and was therefore entitled to speak.  I still hadn't said a word.

Mayor Gary McPhee invited the clearly agitated Ms Raue to take her rightful five minutes as she unleashed a verbal landslide of abuse, first at the mayor, then at other councillors and council management and finally at former Carterton mayor Georgina Beyer, who had, ironically, just finished introducing her new role as Violence Free Wairarapa co-ordinator.  So first I arrived just "as the meeting was due to start" according to the previous paragraph, now I arrive as Beyer was finishing 'her' babble.  - "verbal landslide of abuse" - this is what passes for reporting at the Wairarapa Times-Age.  Stewart is too lazy to report what I actually said, and too well paid off by Beyer and McPhee, so although I am disabled through violence by police targeting my arms, wrists, hands, shoulders, neck etc, which makes writing extremely painful, I am forced to actually waste my time refuting all this rubbish.
Chris and Judy Engels should speak up and tell the truth, and see to it that my $400 electoral nomination deposit is returned in accordance with the LAW.

What I said was:
  • That Council had repeatedly refused to respond to my letters regarding the fraud and gross misfeasance at the former Carterton Community Centre.  I opened my briefcase and refered to the letters
  • That the Council had repeatedly refused to address the matter of the drunken home invasion committed by McPhee and his mate, who also worked for the Council, in response to an alleged noise complaint from one of McPhee's drug dealing mates (well that's what sellers of alcohol are, let's just face up to it).
  • That the financial records for the year 2000/2001 have never been audited because if they were Elaine Brazendale, Ruth Carter and others associated with Council, like Jill Greathead, Ewen Hyde and Julie Hallam would be in prison.  The members of the Carterton community had called for an audit at a public meeting on 18 April 2001, and again in signing the petition.
  • That I was entitled to the return of my electoral nomination deposit because (a) I had enough votes in the rural ward, (b) Council "Support Services Manager" and Electoral Officer Julie Hallam lied in stating that I hadn't returned my declaration of expenses (c) the manner in which the election was conducted
  • That Council had repeatedly refused to respond to the substantial community petition regarding the fraud and gross misfeasance at the former Carterton Community Centre and demanding an audit and full investigation of the involvement of people associated with Council who were also on the committee of the Community Centre, a major recipient of Council funding, in the fraud and misfeasance, and the obvious conflicts of interest.
  • That I was disgusted at Beyer's appointment, and at having to listen to her long babble, and the hypocrisy of the Council in refusing to address the formal complaints about the conduct of the Mayor and his violent drunken home invasion and assault on the occupants of a local flat, and the fact that it was an outrageous breach of the Council's Code of Conduct as well as serious criminal violence.
  • I also asked Councillor Greathead about her motion to appoint R G Thompson to audit the books, after she joined the group who took over the Centre illegally, and why after he was appointed the audit was then cancelled after Mr Thompson expressed the same opinions as me and the various lawyers.

Councillors looked on at the outburst with a mixture of shock, bemusement, bewilderment and resignation.  Matt Stewart the mindreader, the writer of fiction.  Gary McPhee and Georgina Beyer's puppet, writes more politically motivated rubbish, to discredit the opposition.

Ms Raue was standing just inches from councillors Jill Greathead and Chris Engel when she pulled the blunt spatula from its sheath and, pointing it at Mr McPhee, accused him of violence.  I was at least 3 feet away from anyone, I removed from my briefcase the weapon that Gary McPhee assaulted the occupant of a local flat with and held it up in a normal non threatening manner in order to demonstrate exactly what a lethal weapon it was when held by the blade, as McPhee had held it, minus the handle, which had remained in the victim's hand when McPhee grabbed it from him while he was cooking his dinner, going about his own lawful business, in his own home.

"You just pick on people and bash them on the head with a fish slice," she said.  What utterly pathetic drivel this reporter makes up.  He was the one who disrupted the meeting with his late arrival, and this is the level of his reporting on local politics.

"That's not a fish slice," Mr McPhee said.  See comment above.

Ms Raue also accused councillors and senior council management of shady accounting alluding to a past audit of the Carterton Community Centre before launching into a further tirade in which she called Mr McPhee "a pig" and "a bully".  I said that the books for the period 2000-2001, relating to the serious allegations of fraud and gross misfeasance by the Councillors and staff, have never been audited, which is why Beyer had to resign from Parliament.  I didn't "allude" to anything - I spelled it right out for them with the documentary evidence.  Evidence that Beyer had lied, and Council accountant Lyn Patterson had helped Brazendale, Carter, Greathead, Hallam cover up the fact that they were using the Carterton Community Centre and its ten little organisations running the ten bank accounts as their own personal little slush fund, to use taxpayers and ratepayers money to line their own pockets and those of their mates, stealing half of it and wasting most of the rest - money that was intended to benefit the less advantaged members of the community.  Matt Stewart makes it up as he goes along - I said, as I've said repeatedly to him and others, in writing, that there has never BEEN an audit of the books for the period in question, but it is obvious to anyone by the reports themselves and the evidential documents at http://kate-raue.blogspot that it is long overdue, along with a full inquiry intot the involvement of the persons named who are all associated with the Carterton District Council.

Ms Raue became increasingly agitated as Mr McPhee reminded her she had only 25 seconds left of her allotted speaking time.  What rubbish - I wasn't agitated, McPhee was.

"What a joke you are Gary," she said.

"This is disgraceful how dare you speak to the mayor like that," Ms Beyer, sitting in public seating, was heard to remark.

Soon after Ms Raue turned her wrath on the former Wairarapa Labour MP, "as for your theatrics you're a big transvestite & a prostitute".  I said "As for you, we're all tired of your amateur dramatics, we want those books audited by lawyers and accountants, not looked over by a transvestite prostitute.  I can't believe you've managed to get your snout back in the trough, which one of your mates,or former clients, gave you that job?" - I hadn't interrupted Beyer while she was speaking.

Mr McPhee issued her an ultimatum and told her she could either sit quietly or he would go next door to the Carterton Police Station for assistance.  No he didn't, he said "Your five minutes is up" then he walked toward me with his fists clenched.  I felt physically threatened, that was exactly his intention and it was absolutely unmistakeable.

He then arose from his seat and slowly began walking towards Ms Raue. As he approached, Ms Raue accused the mayor of intimidating her and using stand-over tactics, "I'm just being a gentleman and opening the door," Mr McPhee replied.  Yes, as he approached me I accused him of exactly that, whereupon he changed direction and went over to the door and stood there holding it open like the idiot he is.  I remained where I was and told him to get away from the door and get on with conducting his meeting, because I had no intention of going within ten feet of him, and that he wasn't a gentleman, he was a bully and a pig.  Which probably was a bit rude, but he is.

Her erratic behaviour continued as she quickly got up and exited the room as Mr McPhee ushered her out.  No, McPhee's erratic behaviour continued, when he exited the room, saying he was going to get the police to throw me out.

Councillor Barbara Durbin then adjourned the meeting.  Because, as I said, McPhee had left the meeting, threatening to call the police.

Mr McPhee returned without having to call on police assistance and reconvened the meeting.  He called on police assistance alright, but the Police told him to piss off and get a life, and refused to assist him because they knew perfectly well that I was entitled to be there like everyone else.

Ms Raue returned roughly 15 minutes later and disrupted the meeting again saying she was "sick of not being heard by this council".  I didn't disrupt the meeting, McPhee did, by stopping the meeting when I quietly entered and sat down, and refusing to get on with what he's paid to do.  I returned because I had every right, as a citizen, to be there.  I hadn't been trespassed, or done anything to warrant being trespassed for that matter.

However, her encore was brief and she left chambers shortly afterwards.  To write a complaint.  I left because McPhee refused to get on with the meeting, wasting everyone's time, including mine, the meeting was just an opportunity for him and Beyer to grandstand and lie to the residents of Carterton.

I look forward to your urgent response.

Katherine Raue
I've never received a response to this letter.
