Constable Glenn Arthur McKibbin:

Here's the report into the fatal shooting of Terence Thompson, who was shot by Police only metres from where I used to live, and metres from where my best friend and her children were living.

Thompson had shot and killed one of the best Police officers I ever met, Glenn Arthur McKibbin, on 21 April 1996.  Eight days later my brother died.  They were both lovely men.

Constable Glenn Arthur McKibbin.

Constable McKibbin of Hastings was shot in Flaxmere while standing beside his patrol car.

After an extensive search, the suspect was located in an orchard in Havelock North.  Thompson, a former soldier, was shot in a standoff with Police.

Constable McKibbin left a wife, and a young son, they can be very proud of Glenn McKibbin, he was a fine Police officer and a good, honest and fair man.

The report is embedded below, but is also available at this link.
