Subject: Raue complaint

Hi Mary,

In response to Ms Raue's request regarding the statements that were legally unsafe to publish.

The statements in her complaint, which she asked to be published in full, which would have been of concern to publish were:
"Because a person believes that the Wairarapa police and Court staff are unprofessional to the point of being corrupt doesnt' mean the person is delusional. Making hundreds of child abuse files "disappear" and claim they were "lost" is basically corruption. Claiming that the file regarding the investigation into the allegations of fraud regarding the Carterton Community Centre "does not exist" to cover up the fact that the investigation never took place is corruption."
 Also the statement ending:

... apart from depression and stress due to the ongoing campaign of harrassment, and unfair treatment, from the local police."

Another concern about publishing the complaint in its entirety was that it refered to a number of matters which were not published in the Times-Age.

Yours sincerely,

Heather McCracken

Hello Kate,
It is now two weeks since I sent you the email from the editor, and the deadline of 5 March has passed without any response from you.
If I haven't received your comments by 1.00pm Friday 9 March I will consider that you no longer wish to proceed with the complaint and will advise the Council members accordingly.
Regards,
Mary

7th March 2012:  "Oh I most certainly want to proceed with it Mary, and I HAVE responded in part so don't you forget that, and am still waiting for specifics of what part of my candidate profile that I paid $400 for were deemed potentially actionable as you know very well!
Please hurry up and provide it without further delay!!!  I provided all the correct information regarding the report under complaint to the WTA and they deliberately ignored it and published these utter lies about my health!  Now stop mucking around and tell me what the specific reason was that the profile wasn't published - this is a separate complaint and one forthcoming about the article I have just been made aware of on the Stuff website!  More shortly on that!"

"Twelve days?  I have had to wait MONTHS for this pathetic and laughable excuse and now you want to give me twelve days to respond, when I have told you I am under pressure to deliver urgently required social services in the community because of all the child abuse and suicide, which is made infinitely harder by the utter claptrap which is printed in the Wairarapa Times-Age.

One thing you can address immediately is the fact that Wairarapa Times-Age are operating a facebook page as an individual instead of a media organisation or local business, which means that they can print all the propaganda and lies they like, while the victims of this cannot comment or defend themselves without sending a "friend request", which is then used by the admins of the page to make malicious complaints to facebook admins regarding "making friend requests to people you don't know".

This is unethical and despicable.

I will respond to this email by within seven days from today's date, which is when I received it.  You might have to postpone your meeting."
